the reason they flourished is becuz they had superior technology and were well trained as soldiers and civilians, and they fell becuz of greed, when their empire became to big and vast to govern different portions broke off which is when the "eastern roman empier aka the byzantine empire" and the "western roman empire" were created, rome was eventaully sacked by the huns and fell!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know why it was built, but there are a lot of answers to why it fell!. It may have been that they changed the principles the empire was founded on and fit the empire when it was built!. Then the new principles ruined it!. also, when they got rich and too powerful, they became lazy and their discipline declined!. It also could have been climate change or drought, or sickness!. It also could just be that an empire is like a living thing!. It's born, it thrives, then dies!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
