Bicycles haven't really changed that much in price over the years!. More or less that would be the automobile!. Cars could always travel farther and longer than bicycles-- not to mention, faster!. The problem was that they were expensive-- so only wealthy individuals could buy them!. After Henry Ford mass produced cars, the common man could buy a car at a lower price and travel large distances like the wealthy communityWww@QuestionHome@Com

The automobile gave way to the growth of American and the interstate system!. This is why we have fast food and motels!. It is also the reason we don't have as many trains as other developing countries!.

After Ford started making cars on the production line the cost a model T cam down to were the everyday family could afford one!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Henry Ford figured if he lowered the cost of his automobiles then his workers could afford them and he would sell more of them and keep his workers working longer and him making more money!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
