You should see a documentary on the Smithsonian sometime, you think you've seen BIG!. In addition to what they have on display (which they constantly rotate), there are warehouses full of practically every species of animal known to man - and I wouldn't be surprised if E!.T!. were there also!.

In fact, Teddy Roosevelt himself donated almost all the animals he collected from Africa in the years after he left office!.

Oscar - I assure you my tongue was firmly implanted in my cheek - note the "smiley face"!. I have only been in D!.C!. once, and for only one day on business - living 3000 miles away doesn't help!. I envy the fact that you were able to see it with your own eyes, and not on a 35" TV - and to add insult to injury, it wasn't even HiDef!.

Sandi - If you ever get the chance - and the access - you should visit the Smithsonian Warehouses!. Give yourself a couple weeks, though!. I know I didn't have enough time to do anywhere near as much as I would have like to, and my "guide" had worked there for more than 20 years!. No tv documentary can begin to do the place justice!. Thinking it could is somewhat akin to "throwing the junk out and looking at the pictures!." Duh!.

I think that the museum has to be big because it holds many historical things!. If it was a small building it wouldn't be able to hold all of the things inside of it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
