according to me, Socrates' death did 2 things!.

It impressed Plato with the evil states do and may have led to his trying to found ideal systems where injustice could not happen!.

It left him without guidance or supervision, and left to his own devices, he was free to misinterpret and deform Socrates' actual teachings!.!.!.
the fact he's nearly our only written source about Socrates because neither the Master, nor any of his other students left writings that reached us mean we largely have to rely on him, when we know he preached stuff and tried to do in earnest stuff that his Master did only in in jest!.!.!. so it greatly muddled our knowledge of the real Socrates!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There's no direct evidence of exactly what effect the execution of Socrates made on Plato, although the trial played an important part of his works!. Socrates was courageous and unrelenting in his quest to improve the sense of justice his fellow Athenians possessed!. He was
forced to kill himself as a result!. Whether this made Plato more cynical or hopeful than he would otherwise have been is hard to say!.
There is no doubt he had no faith in democracy because it led to rule by ordinary people, who didn't have the intelligence, experience or knowledge to govern well!. He didn't have much use for oligarchs, either, although many of his family members were members of the Athenian
oligarchy!. As was shown in his work the Republic,Plato favored the notion of a philosopher king!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
