It was between the North and South and north didnt want south having too many slaves because the more slaves they had the more representation the south had for voting and stuff and the north didnt need slaves since it made its money through indusrty and factories while the south needed slaves for plantation
Dont really know what happened during but North won and the reconstruction era was so that the south didnt feel punished and they made the 13th(free all slaves) 14th(they are citizens) and 15th(they can vote) ammendmants!. they also made the Freedmans Bureau to set up schools, provide medical service, write/enforce contracts, manage confiscated land, and provide legal service for slavesWww@QuestionHome@Com

Oh, not much really!. Besides, someone will eventually get on here and do your homework for you!. But, the Civil War and Reconstruction are really very overrated as important events in American history, especially in the areas of Eceonomics and Polities!. They really were just minor blips!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
