If she had married, everyone would have just said that it was really the king who was making all of the decisions!. By not marrying, she was able to show that it was her and her alone that maintained the power, therefore, she became a role model for women everywhere in a time when women were belittled and ruled by men!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In those days, a wife was subservient to her husband - as Elizabeth's sister, Mary, had proven!. Elizabeth wanted no part of that and knew that if she agreed to a politically arranged marriage, it would be a disaster for her!. And if she agreed to a love match, it would not be approved!. Neither way could she win, so she opted for remaining single!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are many books on the topic!.
I am a firm believer that students should read books!. Very helpful!.
Having the public online at Yahoo Answers do your homework for you!? Not so helpful, counter-productive and a detriment to your futureWww@QuestionHome@Com
