USA and the British Empire are completely different!. The British Empire was a colonial empire, once lost the colonies, the empire is over!. That happened right after WWII, when Britain could no longer maintain the Empire!. The basis of the British empire were the colonies!.

USA wasn't ever a colonial empire, having the basis of its power in itself, namely a powerful economy, demographics, and military!. The USA is not an empire and never has been!. The USA is still the main superpower in the world, but other countries have improved so much that the USA cannot stand on its own and act unilaterally anymore!. The USA needs to acknowledge that, needs to forge stronger alliances and work with other countries!. It's a multilateral world, like it or not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
