Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Stability - Britain was politically and economically stable in the late 18th Century!.
Agriculture - Agriculture was mechanising, releasing both men and capital!.
Capital - Britain's entrepreneurs could draw on the newly released capital to invest in machinery, technology and innovation!.
Resources - Britain has several areas where outcrops of coal and iron occur near the surface - and high rainfall and hilly areas!. This meant that water powered the first wave, and coal the second, without having to relocate too much!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
