Absolutely!. Most Jewish people tried to escape and Germany was willing to let them go - but few Western countries would take in sufficient numbers!. They had very small quotas and wouldn't go over that number!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!. Some saw the coming storm and managed to get out before things really got bad!. As a matter of fact one of my grandpa's good friends from WWII was a jewish man who left the country before the war broke out and came and joined the US army and went back and fought!. Very heroic!.!.!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

There were roughly half a million Jews in Germany in the Thirties, about 300,000 managed to get out in time!. (MOST Holocaust victims were not German; majority were Polish or other East-European!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com
