It's different!. New France means the area in North America that the France colonized!. Which are Canada, Acadia, Hudson Bay, Newfoundland and Louisiana!.

They were self sufficent because they had tarde, with France and in New France there was fur, a lot of food, and a lot of resources!.!.!. So they could tarde as well as be self-sufficent!.!.!.
