The cotton gin was so important because it changed the way the South produced their most profitable material, cotton!. With the success of the cotton gin, it was easy to make bundles of cotton in short amounts of time!. This helped increase trading and the Souths' economy!. also, the cotton gin removed any cotton seed or other things not cotton!. This lead to cleaner cotton!. The cotton gin was invented in the Industrial Revolution!. Even though people worked less since the cotton gin was fast, slavery wasn't effected!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The cotton gin was important because it allowed people to be able to focus on different varieties of cotton!. Mechanical Means replaced fingers in the separation of seed from short-staple cotton varieties!. Now that a means was available to separate this kind of cotton it could now be grown in more places in the south; thus land that had the potential to be profitable was no longer sitting idle!.
