Wow! Yes!! "Any interesting facts!?" about someone I consider to be one of the most interesting people who has ever lived - I suppose I can drum up a "few"!. I'll try to keep them to a minimum!.
#1) His father died three months before he was born, could not sign his name, but was a wealthy farmer!.
#2) Threatened to burn down his mother and subsequent step-father's house with them inside!.
#3) Showed little promise in grammar school!. He was described as "idle" and "inattentive"!.
#4) His aim at Cambridge was to obtain a degree in law but he stumbled upon Galileo, Kepler, and philosophy!. He recorded his thoughts in a book entitled "Certain Philosophical Questions" (title translated) headed by the statement "Plato is my friend, Aristotle is my friend, but my best friend is truth"!.
#5) He received his bachelor degree but the college was closed down for two years (1665-1667) because of the plague!. It was during this time that he began his study of mathematics, optics, physics, and astronomy, and made most of his discoveries!.
#6) He discovered White light was made up of separate colors and developed the wave theory!.
#7) He invented the reflecting telescope - made the first one himself!.
Had his first nervous breakdown during violent opposition to his theories on light!. Chronologically about here!.
#8) Published the "Principia" (developed 1667 - published 1687), generally recognised as the greatest scientific book ever written!. Law of universal gravitation!.
#9) Being a staunch Protestant, he strongly defended Cambridge against the king's attempts to appoint only Roman Catholics to positions that became vacant!. As a result of this he became one of two members of the Convention Parliament which declared that James had abdicated and offered the crown to William and Mary!.

#11) Became Master of the Royal Mint in 1699 and led it through a difficult period of recoinage being particularly active in the prevention of counterfeiting!.
