Mostly it is written by the victors, but sometimes losers can have a say!. For example, until themodern state of Israel was created,Jews were widly considered to be losers yet they had astrong say in historyWww@QuestionHome@Com

Evidence from past civilizations is rare!. We tend to focus archaeological efforts on the historical "norm" of the day, rather than diverge into social idiosyncrasies!.

History from the 18th century forward is just written as it plays out!. Newspapers, books and computers will force historians to chronicle history accurately!. Without modern technologies, Hitler probably wouldn't exist as historical fact for more than a few generations!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

History is always written by the victors!. Thus the history of Britain starts not with the British themselves, but with the arrival of the Romans, who as conquerors could say exactly what they liked about the Island of Britain and it's people!.

Don't think they liked us very much!.

But who cares!?

The British Queen Boudicca and her British Army charged through and destroyed two Roman Legions!. They utterly destroyed the Roman Garrison town of Colchester, forcing some 2,000 of it's Roman inhabitants inside the temple and setting it on fire, burning all therein alive!.

Boudicca then marched on London and destroyed it, burning the entire city down, killing every living thing in the city!.
