I can tell that the wooden handle has been replaced but the iron axe head itself looks to be a drop forged piece of iron with an odd looking bearded dragon with curly hair and long hairs on the bottom of his chin!. What interest me most about this design is that there is a dragon on both sides with same curly long hair design yet they look dramatically different with one being way larger than the other!.!.!. How should I go about finding the age and the location in which it was made and if possible the value!.!.!. It is extremely heavy,with a few imperfections near the back of the axe head top on one side(a few tiny holes and one bigger hole),about 6 inches from the top to bottom,5 1/2 inches from back to front and is the back part of the axe is about 3/4 of an inch thick!.!.!.!.
