Camelot never existed!. It's originally from a work of fiction based on old Celtic myth!. But the answer your teacher wants is England!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

King Arthur and his knights are Welsh in heritage, but no one knows where he held court because there is so little evidence!. There are several locations considered in the UK!. no one knows for sure!. There is an excellent documentary on YouTube about King Arthur if you search for his name!. Camelot was invented during the Middle Ages when Arthur was romanticized by Thomas Malory in Le Morte de Arthur!. Many other Arthurian legends come from Malory's story as well!. also look at Geoffrey of Monmouth's "A History of the Kings of Britian!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

The short answer is, nobody knows!. The true location of Camelot, if it ever existed, is lost to history!. Most likely it would have been in what is now England; although it may have been in one of the more ancient kingdoms of Cornwall or Mercia (both now included in English territory)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
