And I don't know how to start and what I should write and include in my essay!. I would like to know the answer to this question though: Why did the reformation happen!? If not, check out your local public library!. Ask the librarian for a book on the Reformation!. In order to answer the question, you need to know WHY it happened!. What were the causes that led to the Reformation!? Who were the major figures!. I will get you started- Martin Luther!. What prompted Luther to challenge the Church!? Why!? What did he expect, if anything!? What were the consequences!? Did the Church reform!? Did other people, like Luther, challenge the Church!? If so, why!? The Reformation started in the north (Germany, for example)!. Reform did not occur in the south (Italy) until the Reformation was well underway!. You can begin by setting the stage for the Reformation!. Why were people so upset with the Church!? Who was benefiting from the abuses within the Church!? Check the website below and it has a few listed!. I would start out the essay with the definition of reformation, then follow into the paper with the reformation topic that you need!. Then I would go into the events that led to the reformation and the end results!. If you can, I'd tie in results that we may be still living as a result of it!. Basically set up a scene of the time!. At the end of the introduction, say something like 'things weren't always this way though!.!.!.' They thought the Church had gotten away from the teaching of Christ!. Every culture has a reformation that happens whether it's driven by societal demands, failure in a government, change of idea, etc!.
