Greetings from Macedonia!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Macedonia is not occupied by Greece, it has always been part of Greece!. The ancient Macedonians were Greeks, their kings were dscendants from the dynasty of Argos and they spoke Greek!. That is why most of the relevant archaeological finds are in teh Greek part of Macedonia!. Only a small bit of ancient Macedonia falls within Fyrom!. If you claim to be an archaeologist, you should have this knowledge, otherwise it will be very hard to interpret anything you find!. As for your persistance and capital letters, it sure looks like your aim is to provoke, and not to get info!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Here's a site for Underwater archaeology based in Greece!.

You should be able to get some sound advice from your Graduate Program coordinator!. Are you under the guidance of a professor yet!? He/She should be able to point you in the right direction!. Even if you are still an undergraduate -- just go to the professor who is most involved in fieldwork and see if you can get some assistance!.!.!.!.!.

Hope this helps!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Darling, if you are truly studying archaeology, you would actually know HISTORY and no one of us would have to remind you of the obvious in this case!.

An archaeologist that does not know history, is like a chef that does not know how to cook!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It seems that Fyromians are the stupidity champions!. They do their best to fool themselves!. Ok you convinced us dear American!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Simona my friend i am glad that a person from FYROM who leaves in Australia wants to study archeology to find out evidence of history as it was when certain people lived in the area!. For the country that insists that Macedonians were not Greek is kind of stupidity because This Pseudomacedonia that happens to be only 1/3 of its land Macedonia (that is not much of Macedonia) and the rest of it is Vardaska!. This Macedonia that you want to explore has not much to do with the ancient population of Macedonia because the Ancient Macedonians were of Dorian origins!. So if you want Dig in the 1/3 on that small portion of Ancient Macedonia you would also have to learn Dorian Greek because the writing would be in Ancient Dorian Greek and perhaps I can help you translate into English as I come from an Island that spoke Dorian Greek with a Carian dialect!. But since you live in Australia does this make you Aboriginal also!?

Hi dear!
I'm a Greek with a MA in Byzantine Archeology and despite my spelling mistakes in English, I speak English, German, Italian and I understand French and Russian language with a dictionary!.
You said that your professors teach you something specific in Australia, which I doubt, as I have access to the written sources of at least 4 languages except Greek!. I would be very happy if you gave us here the bibliography of your studies and researches!. If you do it, I'll do the same!.
And now to your question!.
You don't expect us to believe that you are not trying to provoce, when you say that the part of Greek Macedonia is occupied, it is not occupied and anyone that wants to see how people live here, there is a good chance to come and visit our beautiful Thessaloniki (easyjet and alitalia have very cheap tickets by the way and Chalkidiki, a top beach destination, is very close)!.
As for a programme, it would be better to search at the sites of specific Universities of F!.Y!.R!.O!.M(acedonia)!. It would be also goodto contact them by mail and phone, I am telling you from my personal experience!.
Then it would be very good to contact the state's Archeological Institut, both via mail and phone!. Except the general mails and phones, send a very breaf biographical record/ curriculum vitae to the head of the Institut (of course, he may not read this but you would better try)!.
Once again, there is no occupied territories by Greece, search in the EU documents and archives and the treates that were agreed between Greece and Bulgaria for the Greek Macedonian territories!.

ADDED:
Don't forget the foreign Archeological Institutes that may have excavation programs in the part of Macedonia you want!. I don't have time at all, but I will search later and give here some info!.
ADDED:
Here is a volunteer excavation programme, which is conducted by a Bulgarian Institute, very interesting, I would DEFINATELY GO, if I hadn't a family
