The naturalism is a literacy movement that came into being in France by the beginning of XXth century, by the french novelist Emile Zola, who tried to use procedures from experimental science in novels, to create a more real history, based in proved facts, analyzing a concrete group of people of the society!. Some of those procedures are:

-The writer obtains accurate information from a specific environment and later he describes neutrally the different human behaviors!.
-The characters' personality is influenced by many factors, as their social condition, the historic moment, etc!. So the writer is trying to be a kind of sociologist!.
-The narrator describes everything exactly and with lots of details!. He even uses flashbacks to describe what has happened to make a character to behave like that!.
-Naturalists main intention was to criticize the society, and they wanted to show unfair aspects of it basing on true pieces of information, and to make people act to correct them!.

Thomas Hardy would be a famous naturalist poet!. However as you may can conclude by yourself, there weren't many naturalist poets, they just developed the novel!. Although there are some really famous poets who lived at that time, like Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer or Goethe!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
