Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I think they are entertained by how "heroic" the bullfighter is, but I don't see it that way!.
I am all for hunting if it puts food on the table!. But I am not for animal torture, which is all bull fighting seems to be!. I feel so sad for the animal, he doesn't understand why this is happening to him and it is all so slow and mean!.
I am glad when I see clips of bull fighters getting tossed around by the bull!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, the most obvious answers is Spanish people are insane!.
But to avoid sounding racist and discriminating another answer
may seem more logical: the Bullfight is a tradition from the depths
of spanish history!. Of course, I agree with you, bullfighting is
cruel and not fun at all but it is probably 95% tradition and 5%
excitement!. I'm sorry to say, however that I am not informed
about what moron came up with bullfighting, sorry, so I'm probably
not the best person to ask!.
All I can say is it's a very stupid thing with which Spanish people
are obviously obsessed, why ever that may be so!. I don't know if
Spain is associated with a bull usually because of the bull fight
or if they do bull fights and are associated with bulls for one and
the same reason, but Spain must have something to do with
bulls!.!.!.
Just in case that just made no sense at all, just read again, slowly!.
It should make sense then!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the origins of Bullfighting come from the ancient Greece!.
Almost ancient mediterranean people had its bull's sport!.
In Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) that tradition has survived until these days (with a bit in south of France, Mexico and some south/central american countries)
i'm portuguese and since i was little i saw dozens of bullfights in Portugal and Spain (where they actually kill the bull in the arena, not like in Portugal which is forbidden since the XIX century)
As i was growing up i was gradually loosing the taste of watching bullfights!.
In fact Bullfight is CRUEL!
The bull suffers a lot just for the "fun" (fun!?) and the justification of a tradition!.
That's no excuse at all!
The main problem of the people that enjoys bullfighting is that they just can't understand the bull's suffering!
But it's not only Spain to harm animals just for fun;
for ex: in USA in Rodeos, animals also suffer!.
Isn't it true that they put tight ropes in the horse's testicles just to put them jumping and screaming!?
In UK: FOX Hunting's: already saw it in movies, and it's completely BARBARIC!Www@QuestionHome@Com

i understand that us as americans see it as a bad thing but we as AMERICANS the home of the free, the people that have respect for others customs would understand that that is a tradition they have had for a very long time, to really understand things like this you have to put it into perspective, where is the fun in having a small dog to carry in a purse!? in other country's (and in ours) a lot of people see it as stupid!. you understand that this is no different then going to the spa in la or going to a ball game in ny, going to a civil war reenactment in the south, camping and hunting in the midwest!. it is just their culture, we cannot force our ideals on other country'sWww@QuestionHome@Com

The defense for bullfighting in Spain is that it is a display of the courage and gracefullness of the bullfighter in killing the bull!. I personally don't agree but I am not Spanish!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Bull fighting is a great sport!. The fun begins when you watch the matador dominate the much stronger bull in the arena!. I don't see you getting into an arena with a bull, so don't insult our sport!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Bullfighting is the last vestage of the Roman gladiators, so folk all over the former empire were entertained in this way for thousands of years!. Who are we to pass judgement!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have no clue and after so many years in their Spanish History, they have never banned it ! I am appalled at it as you are! How can torturing a bull "feel any sort" of fun !?Www@QuestionHome@Com
