Question: What are the differences and similarities between Communism, Socialism, and Facism!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Socialism: an economic system established by a workers government as a transitional stage to communism!. During socialism the workers government uses state power to dismantle the remnants of the old society, they nationalize industries, create social programs, and public institutions!. The power of the workers government is also used to suppress the return of the capitalist class to power!. Socialism can be implemented on a national or regional scale!.

Communism: according to Marxist literature, communism occurs when the entire earth has been brought under workers governments practicing socialism and that the people of the earth have been sufficiently educated, the capitalists have been entirely deprived of power, and the distinctions between classes have been eliminated!. the most distinguishing feature of communism is that it is a world system (Marx was specific on this) and that there are no more class divisions!.

Fascism: Fascism on the other hand is a bit more disorganized as a political or economic philosophy, the term itself was invented by Mussolini (leader of Italy) to describe his own political philosophy !.!.!. the name Fascism comes from the Roman word Fasces, which were bundles of wood representing the authority of the Roman Republic !.!.!.

the two most commonly recognized examples of fascism are Italy under Mussolini and Germany under Hitler and the Nazi party and they do have some commonalities !.!.!. both are characterized with extreme nationalism (even extreme racism in the case of the Nazi's) and romantic imagery , strong central leaders (dictators), an alliance of social classes (but not an absence of worker oppression), and governments in collusion with business through the building of cartels (government sponsored monopolies) !.!.!.!. but there was a lot of variation between the governments of Hitler and Mussolini and there is a great deal of debate even today that fascism existed anywhere outside Italy or if the Nazi's were fascists, hence the term Nazism!.

what is important to remember is that both Socialism and Communism are considered to be Left on the political spectrum while Fascism is considered to be Right !.!.!. some people like to argue that the Nazi party was called the National Socialist party and that because they have the word socialist in their name it means they are socialists !.!.!.!. what is important to understand is that germany in the interwar period (between WWI and WWII) there was a very large segment of the population that subscribed to socialist views as well as an opposing section of the population that subscribed to nationalist views !.!.!.!. the choice of the name National Socialist party was intended to draw people from all over the country and essentially to fool any persons that may be disposed to socialism that they represented socialist ideals !.!.!.

it is also important to note that socialism and communism are economic systems, meaning they can be democracies or autocracies, although many seem to believe that dictatorships or totalitarian regimes are prerequisites of socialism and communism this does not appear in the political theory !.!.!. although the dictatorship of workers over capitalists along with revolution to overthrow capitalism is stressed !.!.!.

Fascism on the other hand is exclusively operated by undemocratic principles and somewhat modeled on a military command structure !.!.!. or more like a gang or club !.!.!. often featuring a strongman leader and various powerful officials supporting him while enriching themselves !.!.!.!. Facism = dictatorship, no democracy, capitalism is like a gift from god,
workers have no rights!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Socialism is the economic theory that the government should control all means of production!.

Communism is a more complicated form of socialism - it deals with a complete absence of private property and provides a detailed, scientific (though not necessarily feasible) plan for a communist takeover!. Fascism is a political ideology that encompasses dictatorship, nationalism, and a strange blend of Marxian socialism and capitalism!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
