Question: What type of food did people eat in Europe in the 1500's!?
I'm looking for info on what people would normally eat on a regular basis in Europe, specifically Holland in the 1500's!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Pancakes, waffles, and cookies!.
A type of coleslaw!.
Smoked herring, smoked eel, Dutch cheeses!.
Breads!.
Eggs, meats, fish!.

The people of Holland ate normal foods in the 1500's!.
Oh, it was cooked a little differently due to no modern cooking conveniences!.
But it was the same food!.

The Dutch were HUGE in the Spice Trade
Especially nutmeg used to flavor food and drink, and cloves to preserve food!.

Beef wasn't eaten then like it is now, but chicken and pork were, also live game, bird, deer!.
All sorts of vegetable and fruits!.
They were a people extremely familiar with the water, so seafood/fish was in huge abundance!.
