Her grave is located in Sioux City, in Morningside`s South Ravine Park!. She rests near the Seargent Floyd monument up a series of steps which lead into the woods at the end of a trail !. It was built in 1938 by the Woodbury County Pioneer Club!. She was born in 1838 the daughter of French/Canadian Louis Maner, a fur trader and his wife Klanhaywin a native American!. She had 2 sisters and 4 brothers!. In 1852 when the family moved to perry creek she met joseph Leonais a fur trapper!. They married in 1853 and she became the first bride of a non-native American in Sioux City!. She died at the age of 27 shortly after giving birth to a son in 1865!. Hope this helps, by the way i live in England!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
