Oh, honey - this is so sad - but there has ALWAYS been slavery, and sadly, still is!. There are Biblical references to slavery - and it was thousands of years old, THEN!. From the beginnings of America, people were brought here in chains, or in such repressive economic arrangements as to render them slaves anyway - like those who were indentured servants!. Various laws were made to continue to keep people in a state of subservience and control - and still are!. Look at child labor in China or India, and the horrible arrangements for *marriage*, if you can call it that, in many countries!. I will spare you some of the horrible details, since I do not know how old you are!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
