Question: World war 2 the japanese needs to be punish!?
I have studied the Japanese war crimes for 1 week online!. Im just wonderig how many of you feel the goverment of Japan should pay repartions to all asian countries and a offical apologie!? I have been serching online and seen many people that are blinded by Japanese cultural and also japanese deniers!. And people who think they are just a realitivly small group of Japanese people that are bad, everything they did was reported back to japan's press and they supported!. Before the war started Japan trained all the kids in school to hate chinese people as a infirior race!. The fact is Japan is a pretty brutal race, maybe because im chinese and have seen interviews on real life people who survived the brutal atrocities!. I seen old women crying over wat happened years ago and it ws really sad!. And please I hope no ones going to say this doesnt beat the concentration camps beacuse this isnt a numbers game and according to statistics atleast 16 millions civillians were killed and I know atleast 1/3 of the 16 million people were killed violiently!. I also have recently seen the movie
"Philosophy of a Knife" normally I was able to laugh at movies like saw
but not this one!. I would like to know the opionions of the yahoo answers community!.

i think the real tragedy is japan has decided to ignore and change the past!. this is a human condition and it is not only the Japanese that change or ignore past war crimes!. the other is the Turks and the massacre of the Armenians!. The Turks have totally denied it to this day!. of course this can also be seen in American history!. there was a wagon train in the 1850's of Arkansas settlers that passed through Mormon controlled lands!. the Mormons ambushed and massacred the wagon train and have lied to this day about this horrible incident!. so it seems that evil of this nature and denial is not strictly isolated to any one race or people!. there seems to be some place every twenty years where murder,rape and greed seems to happen!. A Chinese person is complaining about human rights violations that occurred over 60 years ago!? Wake up dude, your country is among the most brutal on the planet!. Very few people are alive today that had anything to do with what happened back then!. A race isn't brutal; a race isn't anything!. You are Absolutely correct!. Japan was never really punished for crimes like the Rape Of Naking, or the Bataan Death March, and many more crimes!. The Japanese feel because they paid the US government some money that that solved all of there WAR CRIMES!. The Japanese invaded China and killed millions of Chinese people!. They write in there history books that they were not the aggressor but the victims of WWII!. They lie to there own people!. I wish that we had destroyed more of there Island during the War!. I do think the Japanese should apologise for several things, like human right abuses in China, such as the Rape of Nanking, which was an abhorrent time!.
However, as we go further and further away from the incident, it grows less and less relevant!. Apologies for something that happened 60 years ago, and has not done anything really, really damaging, is not as needed!.
EDIT: At least Japan, now is not doing any human right abuses!. China is not a den of human rights abuses, and Tibet, and poisoned milk!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I want to response to the Answerer above me " Louise C" about the word he/she used ' INFERIOR RACE'" referring to chinese people!.
Japan is nothing a SUPERIOR at all, she just raged 2 wars at the right time based on the strategic reasons when she knew that china was in the political unrests!.
Before 1868, Japan was always an inferior country of china until Commodore Perry forced Japan to accept the Open Door Policy, through which, the japanese emperor came to realise how underdeveloped japan was, and started sending many students to europe to copie the technologies from european countries!.
China around the same time, also planned to send students to Europe but all the reformers were arrested by the woman who controlled china thus only from that time on, Japan, with the European scientific knowledge , started getting ahead of china!.
Other than copy, copy and copy!. Japan has made no inventions which can be claimed of her own whatsoever!.
Being the 2nd time war loser, Japan was supported by the usa to rebuild her economy without the need to spend the money on military forces and weapon develpment, thus she was able to concentrate all her energy on developing her economy from 1970-1990!.
As a 2 time war loser, it could only reflect the low intelliigence of the japanese leadership nothing better than the incompetant chinese leadership of that time!.
If chinese people are really inferior than japanese as this Answerer implied, no one is able to see so many chinese students being studied in the top schools in the usa and in the world's, and no one , includes Japan herself, being worried about the potential of china to become the world power economically, militarily and scientifically!.
About the 2nd world war!. It could clearly reflect the general traits of Japanese people, born with cruelty nature!. You don't need to torture your enemy before you kill them!. JUST KILLED THEM and occupied the land ! wasn't that simple !?

I don't hold with all this apologising to other countries for things done by our ancestors!. There is no point in an apology unless it comes from the person who actually did the deed!. Apologising on behalf of someone else is no good!. It is not reasonable to blame modern Japanese for things done by their ancestors!.
The Japanese were not the only nation encouraging its children to hate others as inferior races before the war!. There is absolutely no point in the present-day Japanese government, most of whom probably weren't even born when the rape of Nanking happened, apologising for this event or any other!.

Japan government definately needs to do something to compensate those victims who suffered from their brutality during the second world war!.
I have watched a documentaries can't remember if it was about the Nanking massacre!. An old chinese woman in her late 70 was raped by Japanese soldier 70 times in a day!. She later died from that incident!. A chinese father was forced to have sex with his young daughter in front his own family by a group of japanese soldiers!. These soldiers motive were to humiliate this civilian family and give them the unforgettable and painful memories for the rest of their lives!.
The point is, they didnt need to go to that extent in order to occupy a country or to kill someone, they just need to shoot them to death, why did they need to brutally torture people and made those people suffer with so much physical and mental pain before they fire their guns!. This is the point why they should be chased for full compensations by millions of asian people who were suffered, tortured and died from their brutality!.
