HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION: Odo and Hedwiga are farmers in the Western Roman Empire!. They live with their children in a valley surrounded by mountains, and opens out into the sea!. They grow wheat, then raft down the river to sell the wheat!. Usually, there are merchants in the town to buy their crop and they use that money to buy supplies!. One year, Odo rafts down the river but discovers the town is empty!. He finds out from a local farmer that the roman legions have abandoned the Western Roman Empire because it has become too expensive to defend against Barbarians!. Keep in mind that Odo and Hedwiga and their ancestors have not been out of the valley for hundreds of years!. They only hear about the Roman Empire and the Emperor!. They have no idea where Rome is or where they are!. Are they on an island!? They don't know!. How do you save Odo and Hedwiga!?
