Amber is incorrect, the medieval year was not 10 months long, but 12 as now!. The names of the some of the months - July - Julius, Auugust - Augustus and October to December (7th to 10th) have come to us from Ancient Rome!. In fact, the Roman calendar was reformed by Julius Caesar in 46/45BC and was in use until the modern Gregorian Calendar was introduced in the 18th century - for more detail see http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Julian_cale!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The months and the days of the months were the same in medieval times!. And they certainly did not have ony ten months in the year, as a comment above suggests, they had twelve months just like we do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

there was two main differences

1!. the year started in Easter

2!. the Julian calendar was slightly shorter than the Gregorian one so it was getting late, by the 16th cent it was a week late!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

they was the same, there was only 10 months thats why october is not the 8th month!. but there was the same amount of days in a yr the months just had more daysWww@QuestionHome@Com

still the sameWww@QuestionHome@Com

There has always been a 7 day week since Creation!.
In former times the day began & ended at sunset instead of midnight!.
In the Jewish calender the month had 30 days & the year had 360 days!.
Hope this helps!.
