founded by romulus and remus, twins, in 753 bc!.
Went from Roman Kingdom, Republic (senate in 510 bc), to Empire in 27 bc, won by military conquest!.
Rome was undefeated in war until 386 bc, losing a few battles but not wars!. the Celts offered them millions of pounds of gold to surrender but the romans would never accept defeat!.
rome is the home of where the pope originated from (catholic preach)
Charlemagne was crowned the first emperor in 800 AD
