Question: How did the ruler control the territories of Japan!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I think your question needs to be more specific!. Japan has had a long history!. Much of this history includes an emperor and usually a host of warlords or "shoguns" beneath him!. The emperor was revered, or diefied, and ruled through a code of strict respect!. Despite this, Japan was often a very loose federation with mostly local Shoguns excerting control over their respective regions!. This continued until contact with the west drove Japan into nationalism and a stronger central government between the late 19th and early 20th centuries!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
