What do you think of the conspiracy theories surrounding them!?Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: by the massacre do you mean when the church in rome ordered the murder of the knights templar!? some fled to south of france, i believe this region is very rich in templar history!. others fled elsewhere!. i'm sure they infiltrated into whatever society they settled in, and probably continued the templar organisation, in a more secretive way!. i have no idea's, haven't read anything about treasure locations, but they were very attached to the 'holy lands', pallestine, jerusalem etc, they saw themselves as guardians of the church, and acted as body guards!. maybe their treasure is there!? anyway - the templar treasure is just as fictionalised as the meravingin bloodline! try reading 'holy blood holy grail', i found it really interesting!. you'll prob notice some things - this is the main body of reasearch that idiot plagurised for his book and movie, 'the davinci code'Www@QuestionHome@Com The Knight's Templar were a band of Knights left over from the Crusades that assisted pilgrims in their travels through the Holy Lands!. They were granted sizaeble reward for their services and owned a lot of land and wealth!. The French king, fearing the Templars were growing far to powerful, pleaded with the pope who had them disbanded!. All Templar treasure was seized and given to the Church or to the French king!. The Templars fled and took with them some of their treasure!. I would assume their treasure would be hidden in the middle east near Jerusalem where it was harder for Europe to capture the Knights!.
