Try The Grapes of Wrath!. There were also many photographic endeavors commissioned by the Government during this time!.
I'm sure there are specific websites dedicated to the Depression/DustBowl, etc!. I suggest you Google that!. PBS!.org and The Smithsonian also have a ton of info!.
