Question: Why are ancient african civilization important!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
ancient african civilizations are important because they had their own effect upon the world history and upon modern times which developed from ancient wars and leaders!.
Several times in ancient Egypt, Africans would conquer Egypt and rule over them, affecting their history and wars!. And Egypt obviously affected how the Mediterranean area grew!.

Other areas of Africa are equally important for the trade that happened along their coastal areas!. It's proven that even Ancient China had trade routes with India, all the way up into Palestine and around Africa!.
In later centuries, the Western European nations like Spain and Portugal would extend their own trade and military might down the coast of Africa out into the Indian Ocean!.
Even Solomon of Israel and the Old Testament had a huge fleet of ships to travel the oceans along Asian and Africa to trade with!. Much of his treasures came from Africa!.

More locally, there is great history between the various tribes of Africa, how they lived, how they died, fighting each other, trading with each other!. Even in ancient Africa, the Africans made slaves of other tribes they conquered!. So African slavery didn't originate with Americans!.
But there is rich history in individual countries or tribes, their lives with each other!. The problem is that many of them didn't have a written language to write their history down!. So it is lost to them and us!.

Unfortunately, not much is known of earlier ancient civilizations of Africa!. It would be very interesting indeed to know how trade from India or China affected the local areas in thousands of years ago!. Maybe someday we will!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
