Jewish people in the UK, however, were not very popular in Britain in the 1930s, especially with the exceptionally poor working classes, and the middle classes hit by the depression, who had had to borrow money from Jewish usurers!. The upper classes resented the Jew's wealth and many had found their lifestyle had altered since the first war!. Hitler knew this and was aware that if Britain was to come onto his side he could have capitalized on this feeling!.
