Question: Native Americans!.!.!.!.!?
I am reading a book about American history and am curious about the Native Americans still living in the United States and am wondering they still live and work in United States and do you still have reservations in certain parts of the United States!. Are these tribes still around Sioux, Cheyenne, Iroquois, Calusa, Comanche and Pawnee nations still around!. I believe they still have an annual get together called a powwow in Oklahoma I think is this true!? How well respected are the Native American people in the United States!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Actually there is a reservation about an hour's drive from where I live; you go past it all the time en route to Lewiston (I am a prisoner in Idaho)!. Driving to Lewiston, you have the Lapwai "Indian" reservation; from Lewiston, to about 50 miles east of the town, the whole area is Nez Perce tribal land!.
1) No, they do not feel respected by white people, quite the opposite, actually!.
2) While there aren't any gunfights like Los Angeles, or New York in the bad parts, Miami, whatever, the reservation is nevertheless very violent, and fist fights and stabbings not at all uncommon!. The crime is rooted largely in forgotten tribal laws for one, high rates of alchoholism which leads to many youths having zero to no guidance, the alchoholism stemming from the fact that Uncle Sam does not always pay!. All that garbage that the american tax payer pays for the reservations is a load of crap; sometimes, due to bureaucrats in Wasington, the money doesn't get through at all!. also because native americans are technically not U!.S!. citizens, they are not entitled to the same rights, which has led many feds to pull all kinds of abuses!. In fact, in the 1970's, highway patrolmen often raped many of the women with impunity, to end the abuse, the Nez Perce tribe wanted nothing to do with state police and so they run their own independent police force!.
3) Even though the population is barely just over 1,000, at least this branch of the Nez Perce, murder rates are high; most of them often having to do with domestic violence!.
Basically the problems that plague poor black and hispanic families, plague Reservation ones!.
From reading the history of Europe, from my own experiences with them, from seeing what they do in Israel, from having seen what they did to Africa, Latin America and India I have come to the conclusion, that white people are beasts; frankly, I don't think they're human!.

Where are you posting from!? Yes, almost all the tribes are still around and have their reservations - some very large!. Pow Wows happen all year around, all over the country, but most are in the summer!.
