Question: Christopher Columbus Help Really soon!!?
We have this project at school where we have to take sides on christopher columbus either protesting that he was a failure or a success!. I am on the failure team and I need help coming up with some good facts of things that he did that he failed on!. We have some main points that we are going to be arguing on but we need one more thing!. also if you have any success ideas that way we can backfire the other team and get ideas on what they have!. i cant tell you what our main points are because someone from my class could be reading and they would find out and win the battle!. 1) A shortcut to India (what he was supposed to be finding), he never found!. He thought he found India, hence the islands in the Caribbean being called the Indies because of him, and the native peoples being called Indians
2) He is credited with "discovering" the new world, yet he didn't even know he discovered it, as he thought he was in India
3) The Vikings were recently known to have landed in North America hundreds of years before Columbus
