Columbus should be remembered as the man who by mistake found out there was a whole world in this area where they thought the planet ended!.
I think he was the explorer who bravely sailed 3 ships with no money, but at the same time he was the man who introduce pain, slavery, robbery and thieves to our lands!. Remember his crew was made of thieves and people who had been in prison, because nobody wanted to sail with him!. His idea of taking another route to India was a crazy one and only the queen at that time supported him!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the history books are incorrect!. Columbus did not discover America!. he discovered part of Central America!. The Norse discovered America years before Columbus did!. So ,actuality we shouldn't celebrate Columbus at all!. most of the history that you learn in school is inaccurate but but no one has the guts to stand up and correct it!. as archealogist learn more and more about history the more they know about history books and there errors but historians don't want students to know this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would agree with the brave idiot answer there too!.

Basically, he should be remembered for who and what he really was and not for this heroification image of him being taught to everyone in this country!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think he was an idiot, but also a brave idiot!. I mean if you believed the world was flat and you stayed on a boat for 3 months with half your crew dieing of disease you have to be a brave idiot!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
