Question: How do/did gypsies travel!?
I'm wanting to write a story on Romani (Gypsy) people in the 1600s in England, but I'm a little unsure of how they traveled!. Did they travel in large groups of people, or small ones!? How did they camp out!? Did they find a place and stay there for a few months, or was it a nightly thing!?

Anything you can tell me on gypsy travel, then or now, would be very helpful!.

But I'd really like for longer, more precise answers!. I asked this once, and the only response I got was "on foot", which really tells me nothing!.

Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

gypsys travelled in large groups on foot, often settling in areas they didnt belong

I personally think gypsys are a waste of skin, they lie cheat, steal and kidnappWww@QuestionHome@Com

Any good writer does a lot of research before starting a story!. Check with your local library first!. They can probably order books for you from other libraries!. If you live in England, go to the areas where they have been known to travel!. Most of the people who answer you here are not experts!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
