Well, this article is a bit like trying to nail Jello to a wall, but his description sounds more like Deism, though it doesn't say definitely!. He was christened Anglican of course, in fact prior to his Religious toleration law in 1786, no one except a member of the Anglican church could have held elective office in Virginia!.
