Question: How would you judge the Peronista government of Argentina!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The people of Argentina had contrasting views about peronism!. This is because peronism, like socialism, heavily taxed the rich to build the country’s capital, but it gave low taxes to the poor!. This idea was supposed to bring the rich down and bring the poor up, forming one class (Juan Domingo Peron)!. However, peronism is far from communism!. The country does not own all land!. In a peronist society, citizens can have possessions!. Naturally the Upper class of a peronist society is not going to like this, but the lower class will!. The lower class saw Peron as a politician that finally recognized the importance of the working class and wanted to award them what they deserve!. The Upper class resented Peron’s new government, which was designed to take money from the rich and give to the poor!. However, the upper class of Argentina believed they could bend the rules!. They eventually convinced Peron to do the same!.
What I don't accept is, in how much "luxury" Eva Peron lived !! How could she have "advocated" for the poor and live such a "glamorous life!?"Www@QuestionHome@Com

Clo, because Eva grew up very poor!. She basically slept her way to the top!. By stepping on others to get there she became rich!. The poor adored her but did not know her intentions!. Although a radio star then movie star and eventually first lady of Argentina she continued to give to her descamisados (shirtless ones or working class) She was also adored because she beat the odds out of poverty!. By stealing money from the wealthy to the poor, the poor thought it came from her regardless where it came from!. She basically put Juan Peron on the map!. The Peronista government wanted her out but she was Juan Peron's biggest asset!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
