Question: Why would the stamp act cause colonists to want to break away from the british empire!?

basically, because it was the first act on the colonists, you had to pay a fee on everyday goods like playing cards, newspapers, etc!. they came to america to get away from the King, and to be free!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

that wasnt the only reason the british kept on making taxes on colonists that supported Britain more than the colonies so they rebelled!. there are many other reasons too, google american revolution or Boston Tea Party!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Because it put a tax on whenever they wanted to stamp people!. I mean when you want to stamp some one you should be able to do so without paying the government right!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
