1) Charters and Joint Stock Companies are both economic contracts that are legally and financially binding!.

2) Both can be politically motivated!. Dissent means to disagree with or reject the doctrines of authority or the establishment!. Persecute means to pursue with harassing or oppressive treatment of a particular group (dissenters)!.
