Made it go through a 180° change, that would later save the world from Germany and even later, make the whole world suffer under the different fronts of the Cold War!.

The participation of Russia during WWI was supposed to be the Tsar's way to distract his people's attention from poverty and hunger!. Instead, sending workers and farmers to the battles left the factories and field under the female care, who couldn't make enough production to maintain the whole country!. Russia starved, and they were losing in the fronts!.

This made the people react and had revolutions!. Then, in October 1917, a communist party called the Bolsheviks took over the government and lead Russia through a Communist way!. They also surrendered to Germany, losing most of their territory!.

About saving the world from Germany, it is said that the USSR was the best fighter for the Allies!. And about Cold War, it was a USSR vs!. USA indirect war in diferent places, Vietnam for example!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A pretty disastrous effect! The Russians suffered huge casualties, and the war was incredibly unpopular!. It was the last straw for the Russian people and Tsar Nicholas II (who was already on thin ice)!. The devastating losses in the war eventually led to the overthrow of the royal family and the Russian Revolution, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The most important was that this war wasn′t popular because the Tsar lost many men to the conflict, and having brought much hunger and famine among its people, the common man, mostly farmers fell to the voices of the Bolsheviks and hence, the revolution which gave birth to socialism and the later break with the Western worldWww@QuestionHome@Com
