Robert E!. Lee said of Thomas J!. Jackson (Stonewall Jackson) that he had lost his left arm while Lee had lost his right!. Meaning that Jackson's incapacity cost Lee his strongest junior commander in the field!.
Jackson died of pneumonia several days after the amputation!.

The Union's last victory in Tennessee seems to have been at Nashville on December 15-16th 1864!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
