There are too many specific events to detail but I have always found that the history of masculinity is severely overlooked!. Women's or feminist history has become a very mainstream form of history but masculinity is of equal importance!. For example; the roles of men in the British Empire or the notions of dominant masculinity during WW1!. I am currently trying to raise its awareness!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

like a previous poster said history is written by the winning side!. what they've done to win is often cleaned up!.
stuff like the massacres of the crusaders are never mentioned in the history books!.
or the attrocities of the guys who conquered the american continent
or more recent the fact that the allies in the first world war were just as trigger happy with chemical weapons as the Germans!.
or The English and american concentration camps of the 2nd world war!.
all conveniently blanked out of history!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ukrainian Genocide of 1932-1933

This resulted in the death of between 7 to 10 million people, mainly Ukrainians!. This was instigated by Soviet leader Joseph Stalin and his henchman Lazar Kaganovich!. The main goal of this artificial famine was to break the spirit of the Ukrainian farmer/peasant and to force them into collectivization!. The famine was also used as an effective tool to break the renaissance of Ukrainian culture that was occuring under approval of the communist government in Ukraine!. Moscow perceived this as a threat to a Russo-Centric Soviet rule and therefore acted to crush this cultural renaissance in a most brutal manner!. The famine/genocide also had the added "benefit" to ethnically cleanse Ukrainians from vast territories!.

History is written by the winners the conquered dont have much of a say!. I would say South American history before white settlement is pretty much ignored!. They had a rich and diverse history with the Incas they had pyramids like in Egypt and were advanced for their time in jewellery and other innovations!. So we dont know enough of their civilisation and how did they make the pyramids!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

in the US I'd say the atrocities that we committed with slavery and nearly wiping out the Indians and taking the land that they were living on by force from them, enslaving Asian immigrant workers to build our railroad systems, the Tuskegee syphilis experiment studies on African American males between 1932 and 1972, the list goes onWww@QuestionHome@Com
