Question: How were children affected in world war one!?
Hi, I need to know how children were affected in world war one as part of my research for English Literature!. also, if anyone knows anything about how many British soldiers were killed by the British Army, too!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well a great many children would of had male relatives who were absent for long periods of time and a similarly large amount of children would have had to deal with the bereavement of the lose of a relative on the fields of battle!.

Food shortages were a problem and in 1918 enforced rationing was introduced which would have meant quite different meals than what the children would have been used to!.

And those on the east coast and in London may well have had to deal with some of the first bombing raids on our country which, for a child at that time, must have been completely baffling and truly terrifying!.

885,138 British men died on the battlefield, although you say "by the British Army" so do you mean those executed for "cowardice"!? 306 were executed for this "crime"!.

The pandemia following WWI killed more people, globally, than the war did!. Many of them were children, but I don't have any number for Gt Britain, specificallyWww@QuestionHome@Com
