The American System was created just after the end of the war of
1812!. The Plan had 3 parts!.
1!. The start of a Protective Tariff, or a tariff, tax, on imported goods
which would be set at such a high rate that no American would buy
that good!. This would support the sale of AMERICAN GOODS over
those of foreign goods!.

2!. The US Government would fund " Internal Improvements" such as
the building of roads, like the National Road and the building of
canals, like the Erie canal!.

3!. The reestablishment of the Bank of the US, called the " 2nd bank
of the US!. This would support the expansion of business and trade!.

Presidents Madison and Monroe along with Henry Clay and New
Englander John Q Adams supported this!. John C Calhoun from the
south did not support this because the high tariff would hurt southern
trade!. Andrew Jackson spent his presidency killing the plan,
especally the bank, because as a farmer he thought banks were to
greedy and to pro rich!.
The Plan was proposed 1nd acted on in 1816!. By 1832 the plan was
dead!. The plan was a part of a New American Spirit to expand
American business and trade!. The only problemwas that farmers in
the west/south did not trust nor like the Plan!.

I guess, fundamentally speaking, you could say that our political system was created as a response to unfair taxation by the British monarch and a desire for sovereignty!. Not sure if that's what you're aiming for, though!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The system is a 3 part equal level government which has checks and balances to make it to where one of the branches do not become too powerful and controlling!. The Branches are Executive (the president) Legislative (The LAW makers=Congress) and the Judicial (Supreme Court Judges!.) It was created for equality for the people!. It is based on Constitutional law!. For example, the ONLY oath the new president takes is that he will DEFEND the constitution of the United States of America!.
Our constitution is the basis for every law of our land!. Our founding fathers feared KINGS and absolute power, and worked hard to find a solution to that happening!. Americans were also not to bow to any king or potentate!. All men are created equal!.!.!.which is now interpreted to mean women also!.
Why was it created!? The big word!. FREEDOM!. It was the cry that rallied the people!. And has remained so until this very day!. The Home of the FREE!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
