There are many countries in the world that are not Christian and so they use the calendar and dating system without referring to Christianity by using CE (Common Era) for AD and BCE (Before Common Era) for BC!. Www@QuestionHome@Com Before Christ (B!.C!.) and Before Common Era (B!.C!.E!.) Using Before Common Era (B!.C!.E!.) and Common Era (C!.E!.) is correct since it takes into account that there is no Year 0 (zero) in the calendar unlike with B!.C!. and A!.D!. Example from Year 1 B!.C!.E!. to Year 1 C!.E!. is not two years but one year!.Www@QuestionHome@Com bc is before christ and bce is before the common era!. they're both the same, time wise, just not everyone chooses to go by the religious aspect of it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com BC stands for "Before Christ" and BCE stands for "Before Common Era", they both represent the years before the year 0 but most historians and surprisingly the Catholic church prefer people to use BCE!.Www@QuestionHome@Com BCE stands for Before the Common Era!.!. it is meant to replace Before Christ (because not everyone chooses to tell time by that birthday)!. But the dates are the same!.!.!. Www@QuestionHome@Com BCE is politically correct because it is not Christian!.Www@QuestionHome@Com before christ!.!.!. and before common eraWww@QuestionHome@Com |
