Question: John Locke and Thomas Hobes Question!. !?
I know theur ideas about goverrnment greatly differed!. Today, our scoeity is more like John Locke's ideal society, even though we dont use their same theories, do you think they both affected our system of government!? What do you think theyr made difference in their writings were!? I mean they kind of had the basis!? Any feedback!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Most of the ideas of the founding fathers were ideas of The Enlightenment, such as balance and check system from Montesquieu's The Spirit of Laws, "unalienable rights" from Locke's natural rights, etc!.

I think the main difference between John Locke and Thomas Hobbes is the belief of the human state of nature!. Locke believes the state of nature is good and human is rational!. While, Hobbes describe the state of nature to be nasty, brute, and terrible!. The two different views caused a difference in their view of government!. Hobbes believed Social Contract is Absolute!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
