Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
It occurs more quickly because of the diffusion of cultures and ideas!.

We are entwined with more lives than ever before and each individual that steps up to the plate brings to the stage their own personal values and ideas!. Each person influences another and in the end they solidify their character through those values!. Culture has changed because the flow of information and ideas of such has been increased due to such inventions as the telephone, organized mail, and the Internet!.

The freedom of constant streaming information provides a unique touch to changing the world too!. It is also easier to find those that share your ideas and thus gain support for a movement or event!.

Whenever you take a glimpse of the news you see someone else's ideas!. You see someone acting their thoughts out, and you accept or reject their action depending on both your own core and what the act was!. A culture changes as fast as one's people, and in a world where the people change everyday, so does culture!.

also because of the generation gap and diffusion of cultures creating a mesh of cultures and understanding!. This makes it hard for people to pass a pure culture or heritage down!. also, people do not study history as much or put as much value into the past, thus limiting the scope of our understanding further more!. And those that witness the past usually make a movement to change it, as we see in nearly every decade of the 20th century!. We see dramatic changes in gender equality, gender roles, ethnic values, culinary, media, fashion, and other areas of interest!.

also, the raw increase of population is a huge factor!. As a population boom occurs, more thinkers are created and less people to keep the law are there!. Thus we get new ideas on the plate!. This has been occurring several times in the past, for example, during the last Ice Age, several groups had an increase of population due to better food supplies!. This allowed culture to arise as well, from the depictions of art that we have found in caves to the creation of religion with shamans!. Another prime example would be the change from hunters and gatherers to farming!. This brought upon a culture change as well, and an unsteady culture!. People that stay in one place have a less stable culture than those that migrate because they have a higher population!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Our incredibly fast modern communications!.

Example: The news: it used to take months or weeks for the news to travel from London to Paris, and much longer to New York!. With the Internet, TV, satellites, etc!., we can know instantly what's going on, sometimes as an event is still happening, An example is the real-time TV coverage of the Russian invasion of Georgia last month!.

Contrast that to the ending of the War of 1812!. The Treaty of Ghent was ratified in December 1814, but news was not received in New Orleans, Louisiana, until a few weeks after the Battle of New Orleans was fought in January 1815!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
