Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
North Vietnam, South Vietnam, the U!.S!., South Korea, Australia, Cambodia, and possibly China and the Soviet Union!.

Some other countries, notably Taiwan and the Philippines participated without introducing combat troops!.

Added: A lot of countries participated in the earlier Korean War, which was technically fought under the authorization and resources of the United Nations!. These included Canada, Australia, India, the U!.K!. and many others!. The Vietnam War was conducted as an action of the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization (SEATO), an organization similar in concept to NATO!.

To my knowledge the conflict in Laos was an extension of the Vietnam War but was also a separate conflict!. Part of the Ho Chi Minh Trail was in Laos (part of it was also in Cambodia!.) Laotian troops never participated officially in South Vietnam as combatants, as far as I know, although some may have engaged Viet Cong or North Vietnamese in Laos or North Vietnam!.

Laos was also heavily involved in opium trafficking, since this was a cash crop for many villagers!. Opium trade was one of the dirty little secrets of the Vietnam War, since there were people from both Vietnams, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and the U!.S!. involved in it and making money from it!. The CIA also was somewhat involved, although mainly in support of people who were also helping the U!.S!.

To quote a line from "What the captain means is!.!.!." It was a f***ed up war!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In response to the other two guys, Laos was involved--the US alleged that the Commies were recruiting/hiding there, so the Americans took it upon themselves to bomb the homes of civilians and mine the fields of farmers all over the country!. The mines are still being removed, and that will continue long after everyone living today has died of old age!.

And Canada wasn't "officially" in the Vietnam War!. Some volunteer troops were sent there, and a few Canadian immigrants living in the US were drafted, resulting in a few thousand Canadians in Vietnam!. Although their sacrifices should never be forgotten, the Canadian government itself didn't formally enter the war!. Just like the US never formally declared war on North Korea, but fought the Korean War--er, the Korean "Conflict!."

So, yeah!. Pick Warren D as best answer!. ^_^Www@QuestionHome@Com
