*LOL* Sorry!.!.!.!.Ok!.!.!.the ancient ones that are dead yes I guess are extinct!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.but Rome lives on and Italy is a nice place to visit!.!.!.descendants of the Romans ! Hope that helps ya ! *S*Www@QuestionHome@Com

Their civilization no longer exists, except as the remnants of influence throughout Western culture!. But many different peoples were once called Romans, including peoples who now inhabit Europe, North Africa, parts of Asia, and the Mediterranean!.

It is a confusion of categories to speak of them as having gone extinct!. We speak of extinction when an entire species ceases to exist, not when a human culture is destroyed, or dissolved or assimilated and transformed by another culture (all of which have been claimed about Roman civilization)!. Define "extinct"!.
They are dead, like my great grandparents are dead so I guess they are that kind of extinct!. But they kind of evolved into italians!.
But any "ancient" people can be said to be extinct if you equivocate extinct with dead!.
